How to Download Airtable Backup on PC
If you'd like to save your current Airtable records offline, you can export data from Airtable as CSV files. Note that you will need to export attachment files separately. Each table in your base will need to be downloaded as its own CSV.
Another backup option would be to set up an API integration that could periodically fetch all your data and save it, although this would involve some advanced program. You can find API documentation specific to your bases at airtable.com/api.
I tested out practically almost every software program out there for bulk renaming (Bulk rename utility, Advanced Renamer, Renamer) and bulk downloading (bulk image downloader, ExtremePictureFinder) but the problem is the following:
Is there a way to not rename the file?I have the filename precisely the way that I need it, however when I download from the link and not from my air table view there are about 21 characters in front of the name. The renaming has definitely helped in this regard, but is there a way to have it renamed the original name. Or remove the 21 characters in front?
Ahhh,I totally forgot about text to columns. That would solve it to pull out the original file name to run your script. This is great cause I was using the title as the new file name, but sometimes there were duplicates of the title so it caused issues. As the filenames uploaded to Airtable are all unique. This method solves the download problem.
some time ago i did bulk attachment downloader - it downloads all attachment in a base adding 8-digit code to filename from link which can be used then for uploading, if needed.Should be saved as .vbs Backup should be renamed to backup.csv and exist in the same folder
I have tried using a simple subfolder name as you suggest, ie, batches and also tried using the full path. Neither works. Both version one and version 2 of your macro get stuck at the same place. I used both my own macro-enabled spreadsheet and your downloaded spreadsheet.

Some Mac users may like to perform what is known as a clean install with OS X El Capitan. Basically, a clean install involves erasing the Mac drive and starting fresh with a new installation of OS X 10.11, and users who opt for clean installs usually rely on their own personal backups to restore their personal file and data.
You will need to have made a bootable OS X El Capitan installer drive with a USB flash key to perform a clean install. If you have already installed OS X 10.11 on the Mac, you can download it again and create a boot installer with these instructions.
clean install done. Everything went easy. Now I wonder if I start doing Time Machine backups will new backup erase old OSX backups? I would like to save them for later use. How to start new backups with El Capitan and save old OSX backups?

With few exceptions, applications require installation, where the installer places necessary files throughout the Mac, not just the single app file located there in the Application folder. So, all 3rd-party apps will need to be downloaded and reinstalled again from scratch. The best way to deal with this is take screenshots of your Application folder, sorted A-Z, as a reminder of which apps need to be installed.
