so i now run two versions of cubase 6.5, as i rely on lots of 32-bit plugins for my job. if i need it, i have 64-bit, but cubase 6.5 32-bit runs all my plugins that i cant let go, superbly. for everything else, i have the 64-bit version.

Its pitch correction module is efficient and easy to use, earning Graillon 2 the number one spot on the autotune freebie list. It is compatible with all digital audio workstations on Windows and macOS.
This free autotune effect is flexible and easy to operate, with adjustable speed, range, scale, and depth. The added stereo widening feature can be helpful in a vocal processing chain, but make sure to double-check your mix in mono when using it.
Aside from those few drawbacks, MAutoPitch is a brilliant free autotune VST that could quickly become your go-to pitch correction tool. Just like Graillon 2, it is compatible with all VST and AU plugin hosts on PC and Mac.
GSnap is an old freeware autotune plugin. It was the first free autotune VST on the market. Pitch correction software was still somewhat of a rarity back in the day when GSnap was released.
Unlike Graillon 2 and MAutoPitch, GSnap will only work on Windows-based systems. It does come with a very well-written manual, though. The instructions are worth reading if you decide to use GSnap as your go-to free autotune effect.
Although Voloco is available as a VST3 and AU plugin on desktop operating systems, it is primarily used on iOS and Android. The app version of Voloco is easily the best free autotune for mobile devices.
Onyx-I mixers offer a pre/post EQ switch on each channel that lets you determine whether you are recording with or without EQ and/or inserts.Additionally, there are several available modifications that our service center network can perform, including post-fader FireWire sends, fixed post-insert FireWire sends (instead of needing to engage the EQ button), and pre-EQ auxiliary sends. Feel free to visit our Support page to learn more.
The Onyx 1640i does indeed allow 16 returns from your DAW. These can be routed into each channel instead of the mic/line input, and because most DAWs allow free routing of virtually any signal to any output, you can send whatever you like to each of the 16 channels. Additionally, like the original 1640 with a FireWire card, the first two returns can feed your control room for basic stereo monitoring purposes.
Direct monitoring gives you the ability to hear channels 1 and 2 right from the preamp. It is the unprocessed signal going into the unit. This is perfect for latency-free monitoring of what you are recording. 2ff7e9595c
